Three Perfect Prinks Drinks
Kirsty Black | 29th September 2015
Freshers is almost over for a lot of new students, and it’s time to actually start thinking about money. As a student myself, I want to find the best way to save money without missing a single night out, and to do that, sacrifices have to be made. You will see a concoction of weird and wonderful ways students will try to get drunk on the cheap during your time in University. So, I have decided to compile a cocktail menu full of tried and tested prinks perfect to get you well on your way to a cheap and cheerful night (hangovers may vary).
Disco Water
Effectiveness: 3/5
Ingredients:
- Vodka
- Lime cordial
- Water
Preparation time:
None
Method:
Take glass.
Add desired measurement of vodka.
Add a splash (just a splash) of lime cordial.
Top up with water.
Enjoy.
An alternative to this is to mix your vodka with any kind of squash, a personal favourite is Cherries and Berries.
This pre drink has mixed reviews, you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it, but it’s quite scientific.
The sourness and citrus taste of the lime cordial has an ability to completely mask the burn of the vodka, hence allowing for much stronger drinks, and a very cheap mixer.
Wine
Effectiveness: 5/5
Ingredients:
- Cheapest bottle of wine on the shelf
Preparation time:
as long as it takes to pop a cork/ unscrew
Method:
Buy bottle/ box of wine. Open. Enjoy.
Dirty Pint
Effectiveness: 5/5
Ingredients:
- Anything!
Preparation time:
5 minutes
Method:
Take any left-over alcohol that now belongs to you. Mix together.
Enjoy.
This one can be made without spending anything. If you are the host to a lot of pre drinks, parties or even after parties. Give any attendees 24 hours to collect their belongings, and if it is not claimed in this time, it belongs to you.
