Pascal Pinon Release New Single 'Orange'
Jack Page | 13th July 2016
Pascal Pinon have graced us with another sumptuous track from their upcoming album ‘Sundur’, named ‘Orange’.
The track has a way of taking you on a distant journey in the confines of your own little world. The very minimalistic acoustics and production allows you to be in the moment, to sit and think, which might not always be the best of things, but who cares? The track is fab. You can imagine it softly playing in the foreground of the latest period drama on a Sunday night.
The Icelandic duo worked very closely with their father, composer Áki Ásgeirsson during the recording of this record. With conflicting schedules, they were forced to record the bulk of the record within just two days. "It makes the album feel more real and raw which is what it essentially is all about," explains Jófríður. "It's very sparse and a lot closer in the approach and in regards to the sound of our very first album. It's kind of funny that seven years later, we would go back to the same place where we were at age 14!".
Whether it took them 2 days or 2 years, I just hope that the time between now and the release just flies by so I can hear some more of these two.
‘Orange’ is the second track to be released from ‘Sundur’ after ‘53’. The release for the full record is the 26th of August via MORR Music. Listen to it down below
