It’s incredible to believe that it’s been three and a half years since Disclosure released their debut album ‘Settle’. More incredible perhaps is the fact that this album has undoubtedly stood the test of time. Brothers Guy and Howard managed to create an iconic set of songs that are still blasted throughout clubs and DJ sets across the world and I for one still love listening to that album now.

Collaborations with artists like Sam Smith and London Grammar suggest that these two brothers almost predicted the present point of where popular music currently lies. The success of ‘Settle’ has clearly influenced the house music revival that we’ve seen in the charts in the last few years and there is much anticipation to see where their new album, ‘Caracal’, will take the genre.

With tracks such as ‘Holding On’ featuring Gregory Porter, ‘Bang That’, ‘Omen’ featuring Sam Smith, ‘Willing and Able’ featuring Kwabs, and most recently ‘Jaded’ already released and extremely popular, ‘Caracal’ has clearly been finely produced. The duo have clearly tapped in on their recipe for success of popular collaborations mixed with emotive vocals once again You can hear definite progression from ‘Settle’ in all of these tracks, but they also have the Disclosure signature stamp on them.

‘Caracal’ will be available to buy from the 25th September , a deluxe edition is also available which, I think, you’d be silly to miss out on. Based on what the duo have already achieved, I predict this could be one of the best albums we see all year.
